Cover Text

The Encyclopaedia is deliberately modern in its appearance and content. As well as topics like music, art and languages it covers topics such as education, literature and media. There is as much emphasis on current people, events and interests as on those of the past, as much emphasis on the south and east as the north and centre. It is written in a jargon-free easy to read style, explaining complex topics in simple ways. It contains hundreds of biographies of Aboriginal people from all walks of life. The interface is attractive, inviting and easy to use. There are some 2000 entries, 1000 photographs, 230 sound bites (music and oral history) and 50 video clips.
