Klappentext
Highlighting the intrinsic links and universal themes sustained by contemporary artists from the antipodes, Resonances offers a journey in five stages. The first steps plunge us right into a night of time immemorial, when the primordial Being was buried deep in the Earth. Then we discover "Tales of the Earth and the Skies", followed by the "Power of Transformation". Further down the journey, "Secrets of Mother Earth" and "Origins" are revealed, as the light of the day bursts with the appearance of the "First Being". Established in December 2018, Fondation Opale is the only contemporary art centre dedicated to promoting contemporary Aboriginal art in Europe. It fosters dialogue between cultures and peoples through art. Today, the foundation brings the collections of sisters Garance and Bérangère Primat into a conversation, with more than ninety works from all over the world (including several pieces on loan). The Dragonfly Collection, created by Garance Primat, comprises works by modern and contemporary artists from across the continents, as well as objects and minerals. With more than nine hundred works of art, the Collection Bérangère Primat constitutes one of the most important collections of contemporary Aboriginal art in private hands in Europe.
